THE TOMMY FLEECE

This post has been a long time coming as this fleece has probably been my most worn items of clothing since I got my hands on it. The fact I haven't photographed it for an outfit post is pretty unbelievable, nevertheless, here it it.
The fleece itself is by Tommy Hilfiger and bought through the wonderful Depop, then through my friend and I'm still so in love. I've styled it here really simply by pairing it with my H&M mom jeans and a trusty pair of converse,  you can't really go wrong. I love it's oversized, baggy, boyfriend style fit. It's also obviously extremely comfortable, warm and goes so well with many of my looks. Adding baggy jeans really gives off the ultimate chilled vibe, but paired with black skinny jeans also looks great. Can be chucked over anything and perfect for layering eg. with my levi's distressed denim jacket. Overall 10/10 and probably the best £20 I've ever spent. Yes, £20!

TOPSHOP BEAUTY HAUL // £1 LIPSTICKS

The Topshop beauty range is something I've raved about on here before, I featured their powder highlighter in my '2016 Beauty Favourites' post recently. Topshop lipsticks are equally as brilliant and if you haven't picked one up yet then you really must. Can you imagine my excitement when I popped into Topshop the other day to find a selection of their makeup products were on sale for £1?! Naturally I had to pick up 5 lipsticks and I can't wait to wear them all.

I'm so glad there was a good selection of shades, it also meant I could pick up some colours that I normally wouldn't reach for but I can't wait to try them out with different looks. The colours I bought were; Black Widow, Sweet Orchid, Champion, Brighton Rock and Muse. Topshop lipsticks are such good quality even for the original price of £8. Despite these being 'matte' lipsticks, they are really creamy and don't dry your lips out at all. However, this does mean they're not super matte but their longevity is great and I will usually pop some powder over the top to make them more matte anyway.

  • BLACK WIDOW: A dark berry shade, comes out more purple than red. I haven't tried this properly yet but I can imagine with a simple eye look this vampy shade would look gorgeous.

  •  CHAMPION: I wore this in my last outfit post and I'm obsessed! I needed a new classic red lipstick and for a pound this is really a big win. This is a true bright red shade and looks amazing. This is probably the shade I will reach for most out of these, the quality is so good and finish of this lipstick is beautiful.

  • SWEET ORCHID: The second purple shade of this haul, and the most unique too. This is such a pretty lilac colour. I tried this on and I really like it, not an everyday shade but, I think with the right outfit this lip could be worn and look really cool.

  •  MUSE: Another darker shade that I felt I needed in my life, this is a simple brown shade, however I've tried this on and it's not my favourite. Whether it is my skin tone or was the application, this didn't really suit me. But, with a good brown lip pencil I think I can possibly make it work. I would probably need a proper matte texture to pull of the 90's brown lip, and this one is just too glossy.

  • BRIGHTON ROCK: This lipstick has been raved about before from other bloggers so obviously I needed to give this a whirl when I saw it was on sale. I usually don't reach for pink lipsticks but this colour is so gorgeous and surprisingly suited me. It's a mid-tone pink but I think this would look good on so many skin colours. I'm really pleasantly surprised and I think I'll get a lot of wear out of this, especially in the spring/summer. It's also one of those shades that isn't too bright that you need a lip liner to pull it off- which I'm all for.

Have you tried any Topshop makeup? If so, what should I buy next?

Payday cannot come quick enough this month, aside from booking a very exciting holiday to Dubrovnik, Croatia, there is a quite a few things still on my wishlist - fashion and beauty wise. As there is so many I thought I'd share a couple of my ABSOLUTE faves.

Inspired by the gorgeous Lydia Millen who is probably my favourite blogger at the moment, is the By Terry Cellularose CC Brightening Lumi Serum in the shade Sunnyflash. If you read her blog or watch her videos you should know that she swears by this product. Her skin always looks so glowing and bronzed, she uses this on a daily basis as part of her skincare routine. For a scary £61, this may stay on my wishlist for a while however I'm so temped to splash out - even though my boyf would probably have a heart attack at the thought.

I've wanted a pair of Adidas Originals for the longest time but seeing as I'm super indecisive could never decide on the colour I wanted. The black and white ones are the shoes I've decided I NEED. I've got a million outfit ideas on how I'd style these and seeing as they've dropped in price makes me so much more eager to pop them in my ASOS basket.

Another influence from Lydia is designer bags, I don't own any as I wouldn't be able to keep them in good condition for shizz. However, I really need a small bag that I can take everywhere as I never need much with me. This Versace Jeans round cross body bag would be perfect and something very different for me. I adore the flashy gold detailing which is innate for Versace. Yet for a decent price of £105, which is not bad for a designer bag - again, makes me tempted. Despite the fears I would still scuff it or spill something on it. It would be worth it to pair this with some ripped jeans and a pain tee, with the Adidas shoes too.

LUSH SKINCARE // MASK OF MAGNAMINTY & TREE TREE WATER

As I mentioned in my last post, I've been really investing into creating a decent skincare routine. Towards the end of last year, November time, my skin got so bad as I became lazy with even the simplest of skincare. I've never had really bad skin but I would occasionally breakout, get dry and oily patches. I was generally not happy with my skin and would just keep covering it up with foundation. The main thing I needed to kick was not properly taking off my makeup, foundation was probably clogging my pores more than I could imagine. Therefore, in December I began creating a simple skincare routine I could follow and keep up.

Along the way I have discovered many new products and I pretty hooked already - I never thought I would be a skincare junkie but I think it's the beginning of a very expensive habit. Understandably, reading beauty blogs and reading the reviews on amazing products makes it temping to go out and try them.

These two Lush skincare products were recommended via @glowkit on Twitter. This is a makeup and skincare account that I've been following recently. Her thread featured her favourite skincare products and when these two from Lush were mentioned I knew I had to try them. The next day, after talking with the ever amazing Lush staff I bought; Mask of Magnaminty' face & body mask and 'Tree Tree Water' toner water.

Lush is one of my all-time favourite brands as their ethics and the quality of their products are outstanding. I've used the Catastrophe Cosmetic face mask before but the Mask of Magnaminty looked particularly interesting as it can also be used for your body.

I bought the 125g size for £6.25 but the amount you get is really good value for money. The main ingredient that you can smell as soon as you open the pot is peppermint. This is also displayed in its green colour and intense cooling effect this has on your skin.

The main purpose of this mask is to 'fight eruptions and outbreaks' and return your skin to tip top condition'. Very true to say my skin feels so so soft after this mask it's amazing.
One of the Lush girls informed me that this is an amazing one for acne sufferers, the natural ingredients and the cooling, calming properties of this products are great. As it's used for your body as well, despite I've only ever used this on my face, it's suppose to be effective for back acne sufferers.

With this mask you want to apply a generous layer on your skin or body, leave on for 5-10 minutes. As soon as you begin to apply it the cooling sensation is relaxing and I can definitely see why this property helps soothe troubled skin. You simply rinse off with warm water to finish and ta-dah, beautifully soft skin and reduced blemishes.

The second product I bought was the Tree Tree Water. This is supposedly a 'skin saver' when it comes to troubled skin. It is an antibacterial, antiseptic toner that aims at fighting oily or spot prone skin. I have an oily t-zone so I was hoping this would reduce visibility, but this also makes my skin feel like a baby's bum, and just really really clean.

I spray this onto fresh out the shower kinda skin - nothing on before. I spritz about 3/4 sprays directly onto my skin and wipe over with a cotton pad. However, you can also spray straight onto a cotton pad a wipe on. It cleanses your face of any dirt or left over makeup that may have clung on to your skin despite washing. By applying this on your skin, will help keep your pores clear of any grime that may be on your skin.

I love this and use it every morning and night. You can also use it on your hair and on your pillow - check out the Lush video which explains this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMbXg92BZ_Y

I have the 100g £4.50 bottle but it's fair to say despite getting small sizes to try these products to see if I liked them, I would definitely repurchase again.

Have you ever tried these products? What are you're favourite skincare products from Lush?

BEAUTY FAVOURITES OF 2016

The beginning of a new year ultimately means a round-up of all the wonderful things that graced us last year. In 2016 I discovered many great products that are affordable, I found myself reaching for on a daily basis and became staples in my makeup bag.

I've recently found myself with an actual working skincare routine that I am continuing to stick to, whilst 2016 wasn't a great year for my skin, this year is already a millions times better and hopefully this will continue throughout 2017. Due to this fact, is why most of these favourites are makeup based, however, a skincare routine featuring all my new favourite products will be coming very soon.

1) Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
Before I began using my beloved Liz Earle cleanse and polish to remove makeup, this micellar water was my go-to and still is if I'm feeling a bit lazy. I use this with either a makeup wipe or cotton pad and for the incredible price, I think it works a treat. Guaranteed my skin feels a million times better after using the Liz Earle C&P but this was a staple for my very basic skincare routine in 2016.

2) Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Milk
I love gradual tanners as I am too scared to use proper fake tan, plus I like the more natural looking and moisturising effects you get with these. Bondi Sands is one of the top Australian fake tanning brands and I'm not surprised, the coco butter scent and the natural glow I achieve is really good, not streaks and only takes me about 10 minutes to apply this over my body. I need to get my hands on more of their products!

3) Topshop Beauty Highlighter - Crescent Moon
On to makeup.. THIS HIGHLIGHTER! I've never got so many compliments on one thing in my life, I swear. The glow you get from this highlighter is amazing and so worth the £12. Since I bought this I haven't used another highlighter, neither gone a day without wearing it with my makeup. I love Topshop makeup, I think the quality of the items for the price is so good and this product is up there with the best from their range. I have the shade 'crescent moon' which I'd say is champagne with a hint of pearl pink. It's well pigmented and lasts all day. A staple in my makeup routine.

4) NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream - Stockholm
Whilst this product isn't the most amazing liquid lipstick out there, it's one that I've reached to many times. I don't own a variety of liquid lipsticks but this is definitely good and affordable. I love the colour and with a liner underneath it's longevity increases significantly. Despite this I do prefer the formula of the liquid suede collection from NYX as they're not as drying. Nevertheless with moisturised lips, this product is great.

5) Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - Ivory
This concealer has been a staple in my makeup bag for more than just a year and only recently have I picked up different one. I love the wake me up range but this is my favourite from the collection. I love the slight shimmer this has, it's great for lightening and highlighting the skin, which is great for brightening up under the eyes.
6) Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation - Beige N54
This year I definitely need to mix up my base makeup as this is another product I've used religiously and repurchased countless times, because I love it so much. This colour is perfect for my skin tone and with the concealer I get such a dewy finish, which I love. It blends well and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. I would say it's medium/ light coverage but you can easily build it up without it being cakey. It does become a bit patchy after really long wear but for the affordable price, you can't really go wrong.

7) Real Techniques Beauty Sponge / B. Beauty Makeup Sponge
Beauty blenders and makeup sponges have blown up with popularity over the last year and rightly so, I can't do my makeup without one. The Real Techniques sponge is the one I'be been using consistantly, however it's super mucky and wouldn't look great in photos - so I've pictured my new B.Beauty sponge instead which I haven't fully tested yet - so far so good though..
The RT sponge has a straight side to it which I love and use for foundation application, the pointed side for concealer specifically. It's also slighter bigger than the B.Beauty one which I like. Depending on how I get on with the B.Beauty one, I may have to repurchase the RT one because it has made doing my base makeup so much easier and quicker.

So there are my top beauty picks from 2016, it's safe to say I'm going to be switching up my makeup to try some new things, nevertheless, these products have served me well and will continue to do so.
